Being a woman-owned business means embracing women's strength, resilience, and determination to break barriers, create opportunities, and empower others. It fosters inclusivity, promotes diversity, and leads with compassion, inspiring positive change and leaving an empowering legacy for future generations.

What was your business origin story?

The origin story of Simply Birthed and the Simply Birthed App began when I recognized the need for comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized support for expectant parents during their pregnancy and childbirth journey.

Drawing from my experience in healthcare and my dedication to promoting positive birthing experiences, I embarked on a mission to bridge the gap between clinical care and emotional support. I envisioned a platform that would empower pregnant women to make informed choices and decisions while navigating the transformative process of pregnancy.

With this vision in mind, I founded Simply Birthed in 2016, driven by my commitment to providing unwavering support to families and promoting positive birthing experiences. The initial focus was on offering one-on-one support as a doula to provide above-and-beyond care to clients.

As Simply Birthed gained recognition and the demand for its valuable services grew, I saw the opportunity to extend my reach and impact through technology. The idea of the Simply Birthed App was born, aiming to provide expectant parents with accessible, on-demand support and guidance throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

They prioritize the overall well-being of individuals, empowering them to make informed choices, and ensuring their birthing experience is positive and empowering.

What advice would you give to burgeoning entrepreneurs?

Be resilient, adaptable, and never stop learning and improving. Stay focused on your vision and keep taking small steps forward towards your goals. Remember, success is a journey, and every experience shapes you and your business.

What words do you live by?

I live by the words of Ephesians 4:32, which says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another…” These words remind me to lead with empathy, understanding, and compassion in all aspects of my work.

Any final words of wisdom?
